Corn Nut Creek is an Americana-infused country folk duo. Their music displays the intricately crafted American Old-Time style of songwriting. The duo features the artful banjo of Tanya Bradley, paired with the deft fiddle work and soulful lilting vocals of Danielle Vita. Corn Nut Creek released their debut EP Feels Like Travelling Home in 2020, a unique mix of country folk songs with soulful melodies, original Appalachian-style tunes and hard fiddle-driven Bluegrass. The songs on the EP tell raw stories of womanhood, which are transporting, honest and effortless. Their song ‘Nowhere to Go’ was the Juror’s Top Five and category finalist in Blues & Roots Radio’s 2020 International Song Contest. Danielle was the first place winner in the vocal category of the 2020 Deer Creek Fiddler’s Convention in the USA. Corn Nut Creek was also given an honorary mention for their entry in the Berkeley Old Time Music Convention’s 2020 String Band Contest (USA). Their debut EP was the feature on Felicity Urquhart’s ‘Saturday Night Country’ on the ABC as well as Mike Kear’s Music From Foggy Hollow, which airs on Bluegrass Country Radio in Washington DC and Hawkesbury Radio. Corn Nut Creek have also been featured on Charles Christian’s Americana Radio Show (UK), The Brad Kolodner Old Time Jam (USA), Mike Crozier’s Australian Country (AU), Jolene Country Music Blog (AUS), Three Chords Country Music Blog (UK), Australian Bluegrass Blog (AUS) and Ear To The Ground Music Blog (USA). They are set to release some new music in 2021 and thrilled to be planning their first Australian tour for September 2021.
